The lockdown is going on and on but I needed to get out. Some meat from Aldi and I was off to Swope Park in Kansas City to grill and have a cookout. (Oddly, steaks are cheaper than hamburger right now.)
Swope has a bad reputation because of some crimes that has happened in the area but the park is pretty nice. It has the Starlight there and the Kansas City Zoo. It has over 1,800 acres so you can move around if there is rough characters in an area.
(If you are going to the Zoo, make sure you reserve a time to come right now with the COVID19)
How it went
A few friends and I went down by the Zoo and found a grill by a shelter and fired up some charcoal from Wal-Mart and cooked off the brats and the steaks. It did take a while but the meat was great. I was a little concerned because I did not what to expect from Aldi. $5.49 is really cheap for steak after all.
All in all, it is worth it and I am glad we did it. It was relaxing and some downtime that I needed. I can’t think of a better way to waste away a Sunday afternoon during the COVID19 lockdown.
Off to Luminar
The images turned out great using the Sony A5100 mirrorless camera. Jumping into Luminar, they came alive. It did not take much to make them pop. What I love about the program is the sky replacement! I can make it a whole different experience with a click.
I highly recommend using Luminar for photo editing. It is not Lightroom or Photoshop but it works great for global edits. I do not see it as a either/or because I want to use any tool that I have to edit better.
