A day at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee

Some more of the shooting images in Cleveland, Tennessee. I walked around the large campus of Lee University, the main college of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tn).  It is summer time and literally no one is around. Summer classes are over and Fall does not start for a few weeks.

What is surprising to me how much bigger that Lee University has gotten since I was a student there for a short time. They literally turned First Baptist Church into part of the campus. (It houses the School of Business)

In just a few weeks, there will be over 5,000 students back on campus.

About the image

I liked how they had a bench sitting under two large trees. It reminded me of Forrest Gump for some reason. It was just a nice shot to take. I didn’t have my camera on me but the Motorola Moto got the job done.

If I would have been able to come back during golden hour, it would have been much better. It was the wrong time of the day to be shooting but I have to work with what I had at the time. Shooting in the height of the afternoon is a big no no.

Lee University is interesting.

One thing that is interesting is that the campus was once Bob Jones University and Billy Graham attended classes here. There is a sign on the edge of the campus named after Billy Graham because of this. However, since 1948, it has been based at its’ current location in Cleveland, Tennessee. It is also right next to North Cleveland  Church of God.

All in all, it is a good school and they have a pretty solid library. I did enjoy spending time in it. However, I enjoy old books that are hard to find.
